Archives Open!
Come and visit the State Records of South Australia archive and get a behind the scenes tour of one of the biggest archival collections in the country. State Records staff will guide you through the Gepps Cross facility, provide some background about the collection, and you will be able to view historic original records on display.

Research Roundtable: Discovering the State Records of SA collection

Join State Records of SA for an online roundtable talk about researching with the State Records archival collection.
Listen to experts in their fields who have used the archives, hear about their experiences and learn about their interesting research topics which cover a broad scope of the state’s history.
The panel will feature:
- Dr. Angela Gurr & Professor Alan Brook from the Adelaide Dental School who have used primary resources from the collection to give socio-economic context to their research looking at the skeletal & oral health of a group of 19th-century migrant settlers to South Australia
- Craig Hill - social historian behind the website Liquid History who has researched with State Records and compiled a phenomenal amount of information about the history of pubs and hotels in SA
- Ivan-Tiwu Copley (OAM, JP) - Aboriginal Consultant, Peramangk - Kaurna man and respected Elder who has used archival records for cultural mapping projects around the Adelaide area
