State Records has developed the following freedom of information (FOI) procedure and guidelines to assist FOI officers in processing FOI applications pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, 1991.

Processing FOI applications guideline

This is a practical guideline for agencies to assist them in processing Freedom of Information (FOI) applications. It can be used by all agencies subject to the Freedom of Information Act, 1991, including State Government agencies, Ministers Offices, Local Government Councils and Universities.
