FOI Officers Forum - 2006 April 5th

The FOI Officers' Forum was held on 5 April 2006 at the Holiday Inn, Adelaide. Approximately 150 people attended.

Paula Davies, Senior Legal Officer from the Office of the State Ombudsman gave a presentation on Auditing by the Ombudsman and how this applies to FOI. Beverley Wilson from the Crown Solicitor's Office followed with a presentation on Dealing with Joint Personal Affairs Documents and a Privacy presentation was delivered by Gaby Jaksa from the Privacy Committee of SA.

Presentations were also given by Christine Haar, Kirsten Sweeney and Ann-Marie Fishburn from State Records on the Freedom of Information Management System (FOIMS) Update, FOI Education Online, and the FOI Information Sheets respectively.

As well as these presentations, the audience participated in the Great FOI Challenge. Prizes were awarded to four lucky audience members who were drawn from the 'barrel' with the correct answers.
